Cinema Noir
These are portraits with the character of cinematic fragments and scenes from stories that never existed. Still frames of movies that never existed, if you will. Drawing on the atmosphere of classic cinema, these photographs inhabit an imagined space between portrait and fiction, present and past. The project started back in 2017, but is set somewhere in the vague past. The work is on-going, even though currently on hiatus.
