Lonely places
I’ve never considered myself as a landscape photographer even though I enjoy photographing a grand vista as much as anyone. Sometimes I see an equal grandness in a seemingly lesser place, like a regular street corner or somewhere in my back woods. Sometimes a strange, very still calmness, a loneliness, strikes me in them. In my view, that is something connecting these places even though they range from the great outdoors to urban environments.
